Chrysler Makes Firm Commitment to Detroit

Chrysler has just moved 70 employees into the Dime Building in Downtown Detroit.  Though renaming the building the Chrysler House, I'm pretty sure most all of us will continue to refer to it as the Dime Building.  Taking up office space on 2 floors, a fraction of the buildings overall size, hardly deserves renaming for it's new tenant.

That said, I'm glad to see that Chrysler sees the perceptional advantage to having a foot in downtown Detroit.  In addition, they have also committed $3 million to help maintain the proposed light rail planned in Detroit, along with Ford, GM, and many other downtown companies.  Ironic really, since many have accused those very companies as being the most responsible for killing rail mass transit in Detroit over 60 years ago.

Welcome to Detroit Chrysler!
